Our Home!

I'm so excited to share the story as we build our home.  My work has me constantly flipping and staging houses – which I love! And sometimes building new houses has been part of that work.  But there is something magical and a little scary about building your own home. We recently broke ground on our home (can you hear my shouts of joy!) so the craziness has started as we make our home design a reality. 

We chose to use a stock plan and customized it to suit our site and the way we live. I am a big fan of this as it can save you thousands of dollars (bargain girl!) and it is fairly easy to customize to get all (or almost all) the things you want in your home. 

Here are a few shots of our property when we bought it.  The home had been vacant for about 10 years. The lot was completely overtaken by foliage and things were growing in the house too. Scary!

Demo started and we were off to the races. 

And now our home construction begins!  I will keep you posted on the progress.  We are out of the ground and the fun stuff is beginning.  Love hearing your input! Bring it on!
