Nashville – Putting on Our Cowboy Boots and Hitting the City
This weekend is like the Super Bowl for my daughter Elle and I could not be more excited to be with her to see her favorite artist perform. But I must say, I am almost as excited to show her around this fun and lively city. Of course, the main reason we will be in Nashville is for The Eras Tour but when we are not singing and screaming at the concert, we will be taking in Music City. Here are a few places I have planned.
Broadway - This is Elle’s vision of Nashville so we likely will start here on Saturday night. Grabbing our cowboy boots and getting ready for some great country music and wild sites. This infamous street is loaded with bars, restaurants, and live music everywhere!
Bluebird Café - We are heading to a show at the Bluebird Café on Monday night. This infamous spot has hosted all the country music greats including our star of the weekend, Taylor Swift. I am excited to experience this venue firsthand. I know there are open mic nights all throughout the city if you miss this famous spot.
Photo Ops - This will be a favorite for Elle. She absolutely loves an Instagram-worthy photo opportunity! Angel Wing Mural in the Gulch, Country Music Hall of Fame, Nashville Mural, Amelia’s Flower Truck, Love Y’all Wall, Life Can Be Sweet, Hillsboro Village, and Hampton Social are all on the list.
Shopping - There are few people that do shopping like we do! So, when it comes to Nashville, we will be living it up with our retail therapy. Some of my favorites we won’t be missing are Draper James, White’s Mercantile, Uncommon James, Mod, Imogine + Willie, Farmer’s Market, Whiskey Water Boutique, and Apple + Oak.
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner - Oh the fabulous eats that are awaiting our arrival. A few reservations but mostly we will be catching available tables at all the places that are not to be missed! So many spots and so little time; Henrietta Red, Biscuit Love, Hattie B’s, L.A Jackson, L27, ACME Feed & Seed, Mockingbird, Milk & Honey, Taco Mamacita, Five Daughter’s Bakery, Sadie’s Nashville, Edley’s Bar-B-Que.
Leiper’s Fork - Everyone always talks about Franklin when visiting Nashville. Franklin is lovely but always packed with tourists. I like to go just a little farther to the sweet town of Leiper’s Fork. With a charming main street, wonderful shops, and the picturesque countryside, this lovely little community is quintessential rural Tennessee to me.
Now all we have to do is arrive. Woohoo - See you soon Nashville!
